Aaron Mayorga is a Bronx-based visual journalist, writer and researcher.

He has contributed to award-winning newspaper coverage while freelancing for Norwood News and The Riverdale Press, respectively, in 2017 and 2018.

Aaron's journalistic work has been featured in HuffPost, Voices of New York, City Limits, Gotham Gazette, and the Everyday American Muslim project. Moreover, his freelance clients have included the Jerome–Gun Hill BID and Mosholu Preservation Corp., the Youth Assembly at the United Nations, and Organize for Justice (Movement School US).

He's additionally been associated with the community organizations The Bronx Photowalk, which hosts semi-monthly photo walks around New York City and Philadelphia; and Bronx Film 48, which organized an annual 48-hour film challenge in addition to other events aimed at cultivating a supportive film-making community in the borough.

Outside of photography, Aaron is a researcher for the Elias Sports Bureau, the global leader in sports data and the official statistician of the National Football League, Major League Baseball, and the National Basketball Association among others.
